Chapter Nine

When they got into the bedroom Cassie and Mara started to strip out of their dirty clothes, but they paused after pulling off their shirts when he wasn’t.

Mara asked, “You alright?” and after studying his face, she added, “Is this about Lin’s close call?”

He said, “I’m not honestly sure on that first one, but yes on the second? I think I’m ready to take that last step with them. I know I am in fact, is that okay with both of you?”

Mara smiled, “Yes.”

Cassie snorted, “You know it is. Go get them, I need to get to work anyway, you’ll just be a distraction and temptation.”

“Right, the flying Ford bomber,” he said doubtfully.

Cassie giggled, “Yes. You told me to come up with a way, now you’re stuck with it. A pretty airship would take way too long to build, we need it done fast, remember? Don’t worry, we’ll be pulling out the engine and other heavy stuff, it’ll be so light it’ll just float off,” she added outrageously.

He laughed, “Fair enough.”

Mara said, “Go, I’ll take care of her, and help.”

He nodded, and then headed out of the room to leave his lovers to their shower, while he headed down to the smaller bed and bath suite the twins shared. He felt a little nervous about his decision, but he’d put it off for too long. He’d almost lost Lin today, and she never would’ve known just how precious she was to him because of his crazy.

He knocked twice on the door, perhaps a little too hard.

The door swung open a few moments later, and Kim’s face showed around the door while her body was hidden behind it, obviously she was naked. He could hear the roar of water running, that told him they were filling the whirlpool tub.

“Master? We were about to get in the bath, do you need something?”

He said, “I want to join you two, if you’d be okay with that?”

She bit her lip, and stared intensely into his eyes, “Just now, master?” she asked in a tone filled with hopeful anxiety.

He shook his head, “No, I’d also want you to join us in the master suite tonight, and every night after that, if that’s your wish.”

She stopped breathing after a short gasp, and she smiled widely at him as she pulled open the door.

She was absolutely stunning. The fragile and exotic eastern beauty of her face and perfect fair skin was heartbreakingly alluring. Her long and straight liquid midnight hair and lovely and expressive chocolate eyes as always attracted him. His twins could be fierce and deadly at the drop of a hat, but in that moment her eyes were all vulnerable excitement and gentle loving devotion.

She was five foot five. He’d seen both of them in a bikini often, so much of her light and fair skin on display wasn’t a surprise for him, nor were the lithely athletic toned arms, legs, and stomach, not to mention the soft curve of her delightfully thin waist.
